Peerless Rattan, the oldest mail order and retail store for caning and weaving supplies, opened for business in 1903. It started with the commitment to quality and customer service, and continues to provide fresh and high quality seat weaving materials.

In 2007, Ed and Cindy Hammond became the owners of Peerless Rattan. They brought their 30 years of seat weaving experience and a fresh perspective on the business.

In addition to lightning fast turn around on seat weaving material orders, Ed and Cindy Hammond offer many other services. They are seat weaving experts, specializing in hand cane, pressed cane, splints, danish cord, wide binding, and rush.

In 2021, Ed and Cindy sold Peerless Rattan to their daughter, Adrian McClelland. She moved the business down to Vicksburg, MI. Adrian continues to provide excellent customer service and expertise while still having the amazing support of her parents.
